Handshakes

This whole week's been wasted on back roads and gasoline.
 This distance doesn't make things easier
 And these friendships don't seem to help me.

 I always found it hard to recognize your face in the morning
 In the cold, in the winter, in my home.
 I can't even sleep without listening.
 We can celebrate changed lives with everybody else.
