I tried
 To go
 To bed early instead I just had another cup of coffee
 Dog died

 An apple core happily grins at my bedside and mocks me
 & when I said I hated it
 You called and said "What?"
 You thought I had the life-blues
 But I was watching basketball
 & it was just rough
 To watch the team I like lose
 I'd like

 How have you been, haven't seen you since that one awful autumn
 Audience gets up
 To go
 They turn but then there's no coats, no home, no problem
 & when I said I hated you
 You didn't call at all
 & that made me feel so low
 I was just joking but I
