O Sitting Bull and Grazy Horse, Geronimo, Riel of course
 Poundmaker and Big Bear, fought hard and hoped to win

 They camped there high above the plain, we stood there in their teepee rings
 Where once they watched for enemy, a place they could defend
 The Frenchman River far below, where once they hunted buffalo
