Unsinkable

Ships sailorless lay rotting on the sea
 They slept on the Abyss without a surge

 Gleaming eyes, brief smiles
 Flashes from the past, pictures of another reality
 Shadows of a better time
 Paired with future that no longer is
 Saturated images predating this collapse
 Like an everlasting echo inside my head
 When I did not have to fear that the sun would not rise again
 Ship adrift at sea
 Beacons' lights out
 And no one at the helm
 I wonder if after this the world can still exist
 Unsurmountable haze, delirious
 Stranded in the fog
 Somewhere amidst these rocks and foam
 I see you as beautiful as ever
 Clarity comes and goes, nothing new
 Collect mind fragments from times before
