Some with their laughing smiles
 Some with their hidden guiles
 Came through
 And some followed after
 Some only came to stay when
 Others had gone away and some
 Came with themselves
 Some ran and some just walked
 Some cried whilst others talked while some
 Only thought of their leaving
 Some voice was heard to say
 Why should it be this way, and why
 Should the way be so hard
 And some fell down
 Lying on the ground in silent
 Fields of heaven

 Died in the killing cold, whilst some
