Inside of Me

i've been wasting my years yeah
 half my life i'm going nowhere
 nothing better to do than killing
 time is almost over
 you want to give it all
 you find it magical
 so the more that i get
 i feed the starving and the hopeless
 i wish i could forget
 the day i left behind my conscious
 i think i'm breaking down...
 i have seen this place before
 take me back to where i'm from
 inside of me
 there's no reason for it
 i just throw it all away
 come up with a better excuse
 for another day
 and in my thoughts i drown

 i looked at the newspaper, forgot the date
 the hour, i was waiting in a bus stop
 for someone to have me
 now i'm sitting in my tin can
 major tom to ground control:
 i don't know if you can hear me, would you understand at all?
 i can hear the hyenas coming
 i can smell the blood i summoned
 falling from the sky like every promise broken with a lie
 all i ever wanted was to be someone, a person
 but i've locked myself and lost the key
 now all i do is waste inside of me
