Blinded by the Night

An uncertain spring changed it all
 You could count my rings after I fall
 And still not know a thing about me
 And years from now, we'll recall
 The madness of it all
 Or maybe nothing at all
 As they say, night falls around me

 Staring deep into my bright disco eyes
 Each one reflecting their own dusk
 While our eyes adjust

 How dark their surroundings are

 Is it too late to find out who we really are?
