I said that's too much
 You said no, not enough
 Is there some middle ground
 Could we both stand down?
 Or it won't be long
 Float off the ground i'm standing on
 What's one more in a crowd?
 Looks so safe and sound
 I planted an idea
 In case I end up
 Up a tree
 You're chained right to the ground
 Keen to disagree
 Why would that be?
 You said that's too much
 I said no still not enough
 Is there some middle ground
 Could we both stand down?
 Or is that insane to say
 In some degree in many ways
 It's hard to see without
 The shadow of a doubt
 You're shouting at a wall
 Echoes at your beck and call
 Stop
 Listen for a sound
 There's no one else around
 I said that's too much
 You said no still not enough
 There will be some forward ground
 Never standing down
 I'll catch this next wave
 Right off the beach that has my name
 Beside a line in the sand and a failure to understand
