milk of toads
 slimy dream
 a chant bereft
 of sweet guises
 visions come
 my dream-shape
 hanging from a tree
 amidst the wilderness
 milk of toads
 slimy dreams
 the wilderness turns
 into a battlefield
 a giant with my own face
 did I see
 himself the bane of all
 undaunted in battle
 was he
 for centuries
 he gladdened the ravens
 but finally he fell down
 and warriors carried his body
 towards the tree
 from which I was hanging
 - to your own self you shall be sacrificed - they screamed
 I fell into the darkness
 and I became one with the tree
 people say my hands
 became the branches
 people say my legs
 became the roots
 and one day
 some ravens flying by
 ate the tree-borne fruit
 and so I flew with them
 each of them took me
 to a different corner
 of my land
 milk of toads
 slimy dreams
 you want to kill me?
