Bigger Fish

See that cup it's where you left it
 Just sitting on my sink
 And as a days turned to months I would've moved it you'd think
 But there's a 2 foot crack
 On my bathroom floor
 I got bigger fish to fry then moving a cup out a door
 They say seasons bring changes
 And changes bring growth
 But my shoes fit just right and I don't want another coat
 And I've been thinking about all the things I said
 When I thought I had the answers and my silly little head
 So be kind

 Well sometimes I get nervous
 Don't want to be seen
 And it's hard for me to remember some things
 But as time keeps changing
 Strangers to friends
 I realize the good ones don't care when my stories don't end
 Yeah my socks never match
 And there's holes in my drawers
 And sure all of my mail still gets sent next-door
 I always seem to still find the time
 To think of all of the things I could do with my life

 Now the days seem much shorter than when I was young
 And it's feels it's been ages since I've had any fun
 And my back always hurts and there's gunk in my toes
 And when I sneeze too hard sometimes it hurts my nose
 Still I try to be civil, I try to be nice
 But it seems many people want to get me to fight
 And I know being mean can seem pretty fun
 Until you take that step back and think "God, what have I done?"
