Like a Flower in the Desert

Like a flower in the desert,
 yearning for a drop of rain
 Lost and so lonely,
 I cannot share the pain
 When no-one's there to hear me cry,
 no-one's there to see my tears
 No-one else is left behind
 Why can't I just disappear?
 There is all this space
 but no room for me
 I feel so out of place
 I cry in disbelief
 it hurts to be alone
 It all makes no sense to me
 All I want, all I want is to leave
 Like a snowflake in summer,
 I vanish into thin air
 Lost and so lonely,
 it all seems so unfair
 There's no-one to talk to,
 no-one I can hear
 There are no thoughts to be shared
 Please make me disappear
 Like an ocean without water
 Like a forest without trees
 Life without a beating heart
 A lock without the keys
 Like mourning without grief
 Truth without lies
 Like faith without a God
 Like seeing without eyes
 I am defeated, ripped and torn
 I wish I was never born
