A Story Of Glory

Now you listen to my story
 'Bout the end of foolish glory
 It's about a boy who thought he
 Could do what he wanted but he
 Did forget to use his head
 And this is what he said
 "I can do what you want me to
 I can go where you want to go
 I can do whatever you might tell me
 I can run down the cherry lane faster than a train
 I can walk to the setting sun faster than a horse can run
 I am fully capable of beating all the heroes of today"
 Now a little boy has lost his
 Friends, but he keeps talking and pretends
 That he can lift a table
 And that he is really able
 To lay down a full grown man
 With his little hands

 "Stop this nonsense" says his father
 But it doesn't really bother
 Then he meets this little girl-eh
 With the shiny hair so curly
 Tells him that she won't be playing
 Until he stops saying

 I can climb up the highest trees
 Sting like a bumblebee
 Swim like a shark and steal the flowers in park
