Held

on smart days he knows
 to lock up all the doors and unplug the phone
 on stupid days he decides
 it would be a good idea to go outside
 those are sad days when they come
 he has a drink at the local bar and he tries to talk to girls
 but he knows their trite polite brush all too well
 he tries to think of what "normal" people do in movies and TV
 but none of those guys think like him at all
 how come he's not like any of them?
 I don't know
 there are some days
 when he thinks everything would be perfect if he fit in
 those are sad days when they come
 he tries the local coffee shop 'cause it's open all night long
 but all the cliques and clubs there drive him mad
 he watches all the scooter boys and their ugly fringe-chick girls
 and prays that a great rain will come again
 why is it so strange that some ones want to be held sometimes
 but they can't find someone to hold them?
