The English Room is much like an old house
 Couldn't forget your scent if I tried to
 A simple tavern nestled in a slow town
 I'm sure I've thought of you more than you've thought of me
 The Monday clientele is quite substantial
 I'd like to have you if I could somehow
 Upstairs is quiet, there's less than a handful
 But what is love if I can't be with you now

 Bartender broke his neck but he walks now
 Your gentle snoring feels reassuring
 The type of bar with a shower in the bathroom
 Some things I'd tell you but I'll wait till you leave
 They're playing darts, but we don't pay attention

 It's getting late and I wish we had more time
