For the Universe to Shatter

Blindfolded, running through desolate space
 At the edge of a cliff I've arrived
 Beneath me the abyss, an eye spewing chaos
 Behind me a thousand cries
 The stake of the world lights up
 As the ashes of virtues are scattered
 As flames consume each atom, awaiting
 The universe to shatter
 No peace for the human soul
 Our savior why don't you want
 To pray for us, to help us
 For the last time
 There I have wandered alone
 Amongst the ruins, mass graves
 And I could feel the rain that fell
 And washed all hope away
 The stake of the world lights up

 Wounds I have
 They burn aflame
 Incandescent like the steel
 Chains of my dreams
 No peace for a soul
 Restless and unredeemed
 Dead, but still alive
 Unravelled are spirit and flesh
 Bonds of the body are breaking
 The soul now drifts away
 Tormented with visions
 Can't rest in blissful peace
 Exiled from the world
 Trapped in ethereal mist
 The nightmare never stops?
 Or is this the final end?
 Eventual salvation
 Or just deluding hope?
 Tired like this world
 Looking with eyes of despair
 The bonds of the body are breaking
 The soul now drifts away
