This Bad Decision

keep a light burning in the window
 so the time you lost
 and the faith you lost
 and the love you lost
 can come back home to roost
 my undoing un-understood
 thought i did the best that i could
 take it slow, temporary home
 and let it go
 i don't wanna stay here
 i just wanna lay here for a while
 keep your friends close until they leave you
 when the time's the worst
 and it hurts the worst
 and you'd do your worst
 to keep them from the truth
 all that healing un-undertook
 all those years, not one backwards look
 but now i know, temporary home
 i let it go
 i don't wanna live here
 i just wanna sit here for a while
 because this bad decision
 has the power to erase
 all the stupid things i said to you
