Rock and Roll Camper

We can save our money
 Invest it in a camper
 Drive across the country
 And turn around again
 We'll decorate our camper
 With strings of paper lantern
 Hang a plastic panther
 On our CB antennae
 We putt across the country
 With our windshield wipers squealing
 There's a road-side attraction
 Let's pull into a few spots
 We can take a picture
 Of our Rock and Roll Camper
 Leaning on a palm tree
 Or half-way up a mountain.
 Part way through the tunnel
 We lose our reception
 We made it through the Rockies
 The sun in the sky above the water's been waiting
 You and for me in our Rock and Roll Camper
 To see the world
 To see the world
 We might see a tornado
 Or a flooded Baptist graveyard
 Maybe in the desert
 We'll find a dying lizard
 At night beneath the kudzu
 The crickets screaming murder
 We got sand in the camper
 From our quest for sand dollars
 We try to cross the border
 They search us for an hour
 We played catch with pebbles
 Until they finally let us through
 We pull into the slow lane
 Our camper radio blaring
 "We came to take it up"

 Half-way through the tunnel we lose our reception
 We made it through the Rockies
 The sun in the sky above the waters been waiting
 And I call it's you and me versus the world
 Armed with just a camper and a flash-busted camera
 We can't go wrong.
