I Am So Happy With My Little Dog

What is unseen and all I don't know
 In every day and every tomorrow
 Trying to make room to hold it all
 The bird in the tree
 The flowers at the mall
 Hope for the best, preparing for the worst
 Holding it down no matter what comes first

 Been filling the house up, redecorating
 Knowing full well that it all has to go
 My Gladys Goose lamp, the sofa and paintings
 Just new things to see when I don't want to look
 But in the front door with my soaking wet dog
 That overpriced candle is sure smelling good
 ♪
 What is it I'm after, what's there to want?
 Try to get cozy with things that don't add up
 In the kitchen, holding an empty cup
 Oh, God, it must be so nice to be so sure
 But I am so happy with my little dog
 I put fresh water into his bowl
