Little Sun

I live in a small town
 These walls are all around me
 I can hardly take it anymore
 I think I need the city
 I think that it could help me
 When all it really has are bigger walls
 How do I shake these awful thoughts?
 Now I live in the city
 And walls are all around me
 Maybe I should just live in the sea
 At least I would be floating
 'Cause all I really know is
 There is not a reason why I'm here
 I guess I'll search for a career
 Though little sun comes through my life
 I believe that if I stand and fight
 It will lead me to a brighter day
 Though little fight is in my bones
 We should never have to stand alone
 Some people care and some people don't

 I think I'll find a garden
 A place to play some cards in
 Wouldn't that be something for the soul
 Grow a pretty flower
 I'd never have to shower
 Living there would always be a breeze
 Although I've never planted seeds

 Passion on my mind I must be crazy planting seeds
 Wandering around wearing my heart upon my sleeve
 Looking for someone to help the clouds start tumbling down
 We'll hitch a ride and leave this town
 While everybody settles down
