Brown Water

I sit and think of when the water reaches level
 When you go to test the things you built will truth turn into fable
 Will it wear on down to nothing like a Boulder to a Pebble
 Will it stay stone solid when the water reaches level
 Will your heart float away or will you keep it on the ground
 Or be deserted on an Island somewhere never to be found
 You shouldn't lose your foothold, better hope you don't sink
 Now there's water everywhere, and not a single drop to drink
 Why?
 And so I sit and think of when the trouble turns to double
 When the shit turns thick, are ya gonna need a shovel
 When the current comes to wash away
 Keep close your sons and daughters
 No I never had a need to swim, but now there's muddy waters
 Now we're gonna have to get through all this mess that they create
 We can't just sweep it off under a rug
 Because it's buried in 6 feet of waste
 You shouldn't ever try to feed someone, something not real
 It's always the same, just playin your game
 I wonder what's to come from here
