The Painted Word

Interesting place this, I like it here
 I think I'll stay and see what happens
 If I wanted to I'd write a book
 But it would take some time
 I'd spend my life writing poetry
 Thinking ouf words that have to rhyme
 Observe... the painted word
 But if a picture paints a thousand words
 Then I will paint a book for you
 And you can read between the lines
 The truth, whole truth, nothing but the truth

 You held my hands
 You kissed my lips
 You told me you were leaving me
 Now all the pain and hurt I feel
 Hangs on the wall for all to see
 Observe... the painted word
 If you can't find the words to write
 If you can't think of the words to rhyme
 Take a brush and take some paint
 Show me what you feel inside
