This cigarette is doing nothing for me
 I still feel the tension in my veins
 And all my borrowed habits haven't left me less erratic

 A stranger lent their kindness in the form of an air mattress

 All my friends migrated to the west coast

 I no longer think of my mistakes as a shovel by a grave
