The hope that is within us, erupting from the sand
 It's clear and pure refreshment in dry and barren land
 No scotching circumstances can stop that eager flow, of hope that springs eternal
 It's joy that floods my soul

 The voice that stills all rages, my shouting whispering hope
 You cannot make it happen, like faith it is a gift
 The currency of depression, the power of hope will lift
 Just when you least expect it, a rescue raft comes by
 and ties your weary spirit to wings so you can fly
 It's a hope that sometimes whispers, a hope that sometimes shouts!
 And sometimes hope's mighty gale will part the sea of doubt
 Or calms the raging fevers, commands the storms of pain
 Hope turns the life's threatening tempest to gentle soothing rain
