Looking around wondering what became
 of what I once knew
 pop punk mutation lacking passion
 that keeps ringing untrue
 there's something wrong with this picture
 hot topic setting standards for you to consume
 Many of the roots can be traced back
 to where were standing
 there were people just like me and you
 who never thought of landing
 in a place bands got squeezed to make room
 for third generation blink-182 rip off's
 Is there something I don't get? How did you buy into this?

 was an outsider looking in

 and now I watch this band with black makeup
 and silly synchronized jumps
 in a gigantic parking lot
 in the Wal-Mart of punk rock
 I can't forget who I am or what I know
 or change what I believe
