Stretch My Arms

She stretches out her arms and says
 "I, I love you this much"
 I want to tell her how much I care
 But I can't stretch my arms long enough
 I wish that I could take her far away
 And it would just be the two of us
 But she needs time to try a bunch of things
 And have a bunch of fun, huh

 'Cause I ain't been all that fun these days
 I just sit around in the sun
 I look at trees and fish and birds and things
 And I, I try to study the bugs
 I hope she doesn't think the things I feel
 Are just, are just a bit too much
 But I'm afraid that if I open up
 She'll pack her things and run, she needs to run

 Wish I could know when I'm in the wrong
 Well, I guess my arms weren't long enough
 To scoop you up when times were getting tough
 My legs are far too short to run
 So I just sat here, waiting for better times to come
 And I couldn't see the problems lay with me
