Lunar Madness

Spiraling
 Descending the great tower
 To the hidden vaults below
 Deep within the heart of the tomb
 Lie secrets of great power
 Or grand illusions, despair
 What do they seek down there?
 Night stained red
 Born of suffering
 They march forth
 With mortal wounds
 They shall endure
 Visions
 Swarm through shallow pools
 Along eternal corridors
 Deep below
 Lanterns burn
 They light a path for fools
 Pious minds ensnared
 As night screams from her lair
 Through catacombs
 Stalking endlessly
 Primordial prey
 A pact of secrecy revеaled
 Heir to a great dеceit
 I burned at the feast

 You, wholly corrupted
 You, servant of perdition
 With jagged teeth gleaming
 From gardens of nocturne
 He'll take flight
 Black winged delirium
 Coalesce with the night
 Come forth, succumb, submerge
 In the stagnant waters of salvation
 A spark was ignited deep inside
 They built great walls
 To hold back the tide
 Though some ventured through cracks in the rocks
 With a key with which to unlock
 Chaos
 Ancient infernal rites
 From deep foundations below
 To glittering towers on high

 And the dull flame of desire
 Was engulfed by perennial fire
 Wretched, unnamed
 Crawl back from whence you came
 And they begged the mountains to fall
 To hide them from him
 The one who sits on the throne
 And from the wrath of the lamb
 Repent
 For the day of wrath has come
 Voices in the gloom
 Speak of secrets interred
 Deep within the heart of the woods
 An ancient presence blooms
 Lunar madness invoked
 Under twilight cloak
 Over the hillside
 Black winged command
 For the day has come
 And who is able to stand?
