When there's nothing to rebel against
 When we can't see beyond the obvious
 We're falling victim
 To shortsighted social constructs
 Break'em down to the essential
 Now take a good look and see
 Claim the moral high ground
 And set yourselves up for the fall
 Our public discourse
 Poisoned by self-righteousness
 We are so afraid
 Of all that is real
 Confirmation bias
 Is all that we seek
 You're caught inside
 The echo chamber
 Forge ahead as the leader of movement
 As I try to free myself of this delusion
 By entering a new state of revolt
 These dead letters
 They pass for a better solution
 So we're just

 Nothing but fact resistant beliefs
 A statute of emotion not thought
 I can no longer stand this complacency

 For in this debate
 There's no place for reason or logic
 All hidden in self-reassurance
 No normative sense of self
 You're caught inside
