All Exterior Dark

I'm facing up with bloody hands and face until the daylight breaks.
 In blanket light, I've got a heavy heart. You're pressing on my palms.
 Enter a night. An image bathed in sound. And as I close my eyes

 I'm carried on through all exterior dark. In here it's safe and warm
 The softness of the dashboard light display is a comforting thing
 Floating road. You keep the music low so I can catch some rest
 The wind is strong, but you lie next to me
