Watching the Waves

I look at the ocean
 Before me creating the tide
 Our castles are broken
 The water draws near then subsides
 I can't turn my back on the sea
 As there's nowhere to hide
 See it take control
 As instinct guides the flow
 Endless repeating
 They wash away
 Again through time
 Emotions won't stop if they try
 A simple existence
 A symbol of which to abide
 Evolving won't help nullify
 And the only option
 To wait until sands re-arrive
 Restoring a hope to survive
 Though with anticipation
 They simply rebuild or divide
 Replaying all this in my mind
 Watch the waves
