 I remember those nights
 where I would just sit alone in my room
 Learning how to push thoughts
 out of my head and think about You

 And I've been searching for a home

 I remember the days
 when I was young —
 I was out of my mind
 I would put on a mask
 and tell everyone
 I was doing just fine
 I didn't know I was totally blind
 But I was searching for a home
 And all my life I felt alone
 And I had nothing to call my own
 But now I know
 that you'll never let me go
 In Isaiah 63 verse 9 it says
 "in all the distress
 He too was distressed
 And the angel of His presence
 saved them
 In His love and His mercy
 he redeemed them
 He lifted them up
 and carried them all the days of old
 Whenever I read this verse
 I think about
 The lifestyle that I used to live
 Whenever the Lord was pursuing me
 And I was constantly saying no
 and wanting to do my own thing
 He had been carrying me
 the whole entire time
 I just had no idea that He was
 And there were a lot of mistakes
 that I would make
 That easily could disqualify me
 but I'm so glad that
 God doesn't take Record of our wrongs
 instead He picks our head up
 And He tells us
 to keep moving forward
 and to look at Him
 And no matter what
 He's never gonna let us go
 And He's always
 gonna have open arms for us
 Whenever we're ready
 to turn towards Him
 And I've been searching for a home
 And all my life I felt alone
 But now you showed me I have a home
 And all I know is you'll never let me go
