A Year from Now

I look back on these last years
 Did I really make them count?
 Could I have done this any different
 Or was I destined to go round n' round?
 I wish I'd known what I do now
 Before the earth had gone once around
 Has the time wasted just been earned?
 When I let go what have I learned?
 I just want to become the person that I'm meant to be
 To finally figure out how to set myself free
 Ive worked and cried, just to find, how my eyes see
 I want the real me no longer A Year From Now
 I shed the mask that I was wearing
 And took one good hard look
 At a boy who'd become so weary
 By a man who had just over looked
 Under white clouds a dust settled
 Where once there were drums of war
 To know a new paradise is coming
 That an old man has been waiting for
