Despair

Ashes fill his lungs, flesh is peeling away
 Severed limbs around, His rage won't let him die
 A mentor turns his back, a brother is laid to rest,
 A dreamer turns to dust, a lover breaths a final breath
 "I feel my body burning; my soul is split in two,
 Cut down and left to die, I clutch the earth in mortal terror,
 blackened flesh, eviscerated, I choke on ash and curse his name"
 Again the black savior arrives, to claim his prize,
 A tool of destruction too valuable to lose,
 Destroy, dehumanize, power, control
 An icon of evil, the face of sin
