 I've walked many miles through this land,

 But I fell from your eyes one Autumn night

 I lost your hand so long ago
 The wolves and the bats they took you all away

 I guess that I should return home
 But it's so sad it's so empty there
 I've slept many nights in abandoned barns
 Covered in straw but not at all warm
 My thoughts are of light on this lonely night
 But all lanterns burn with an empty light
 And morning comes like a demons claw
 Scratching painful light on the coldest floor
 I've walked many miles down this road
 My pale white skin never looked old
 The vultures and the crows the circle overhead
 Just one more mile and I'm safe
 One more mile to my grave
