Summer Night In Domita

It was a summer night in Domita
 My heart starts thumping every time I see her
 Our anniversary, so I wanted to treat her
 I took her to the park where I was lucky to meet her
 I laid down a blanket on the hill by the tree
 I sat down, she sat down, oh-so close to me
 That night, there was no place that I'd rather be
 We stared at the stars, there were thousands to see, but
 Suddenly, something felt wrong
 The birds weren't singing their same old song
 The ground started shaking, it was like the earth was quaking
 I looked through the dark and tried to act strong
 The Moon was new, I begged for more light
 I told my girl that it'd be alright
 Then, colossal shadows came from the night
 We turned and screamed and ran for our lives
 It was a summer night in Domita
 The walls all tumbling and people screaming
 The fires got to blazing and the priests all got to praying
 'Cause the mayor's house burned with the face of a demon
 And so, we ran from our home for the hills
 We ran from the giants who came just to kill
 The stomping and the smashing and the screaming and the crashing
 But with chaos all around us, my thoughts were so still, they said
 "OK, I got her hand in mine
 Yeah, I got her hand in mine
 Don't look back, just run, or you'll die
 As long as I still got her hand in mine"
 Adrenaline-fueled, I stopped somewhere safe
 I turned back to her and shock hit my face
 I looked at my hand, still holding hers tight
 But looked up to her, she's nowhere in sight
