I am Lazarus
 Brought to life again
 I am reborn
 Wondering to what gain
 Resurrected
 But to the same life
 I am plagued
 Brought down by strife
 I was unasked
 To do this bidding
 I wanted out
 Are you kidding
 It's insane
 What did I journey for
 My wish, not granted
 In the same place as before
 Break these wings
 If this is flying
 To transcend
 I prefer dying
 What does my savior get me?
 Another wasted year
 With the same soulless content
 When will I leave from here?
 And when my trial has ended
 What will be my reward?
 I know my soul screams of ache
 So callous, my lord
 They said forgiving God
 And they said loving God
 Why am I here in limbo
 Why don't I buy it all
 Why don't I beg for mercy
 In what I'm sure's my end
 I can't go back one more time
 These wounds they can not mend
 Into a landscape infernal
 How the fire scourges
 The searing flesh withdrawing from my bones
 You are a cruel lord
 To punish nonbelievers
 All glory's yours
 I'm a just a filthy sinner!
