Hear Our Cry

As the dust has gradually drifted
 'Cross the plains of imminent death
 Here we stand with spirits uplifted
 And the reek of ale on our breath
 Every horse was gallantly standing
 Dressed in steel and leathery skin
 Silence broke, riders demanding
 "Let the onslaught now begin!"
 We may die, for this is war!
 Stain the earth with heathen blood one more!
 Flaming arrows, iron spears
