Dusk: Into The Glow Of Nightfall

Laid bare beneath a veil of starlight
 As the colors of night encircle above me
 Like eight hungry birds of prey
 As they begin their dance downward
 In celebration of my glorious decay
 On luminous and silent wings they fly
 Into my hollows of my vestigal body
 To carry the remains into the sky
 They glide back and forth like smoke
 With blackened feathers casting shadows
 Bleak images falling softly on my face
 As they sing beautiful lullabies of rapture
 And whisper gently of the coldest embrace
 The howling wind resonates her sad melody
 A dismal hymn of my earthly melancholy
 Drowning into the glowing liquid of nightfall
 And I know that the light cannot return to me
 As my body fades in obscurity...
 I will never embrace the dawn
