The Origin: The Point Of Return

Starlight pours forth from the heavens
 Bathing the cold Earth in silver liquid
 Falling softly upon my lifeless body
 The wreckage of an earthly endeavor
 Flesh and bones that were left behind
 Because they only served as restraints
 Carbon constructions intended to bind
 Our sullen hearts became like cages
 Our star-bound eyes rendered blind
 But tonight, I will leave my body
 Ere, sunrise, I leave these curses behind
 Not a single vestige- not a single trace
 Of an earthly existance will be left to find
 Leave this body behind

 I am headed for the stars
 While I am immersed in blinding light
 Flesh and bones are sublimated into pure energy
 And as such, my energy becomes entwined
 With stardust and cosmic infinity
 Entwined like lovers that delicately grave the sky
 Dancing back and forth into eternity
 With everlasting fervent intensity.
