City Eyes

Street names, street signs
 Rows agianst rows, like the moving of a boat
 Great lengths, great highs
 The tips of buildings trying to stay afloat
 We swim in and out, bustling to get through
 But the truth is we're all drowning too
 My only life-jacket is you
 The city that we live
 Taken everything we've got to give
 Our money, our ego, our lies
 All the things that god despise
 Yet somehow it's got a charm
 Hold you close right at the arm
 A city that never sleeps
 Is a city i'd like to meet
 Cause every city got it's eyes closed
 To what goes on behind doors
 And the city can't open it's eyes
 Cause it's already dead inside
